#Review: A Lady’s Honor by Laurie Alice Eakes

This book is from BookLook Bloggers (formerly, BookSneeze). In exchange of the free copy, here’s my review.

Initially, I thought this one’s about a very young lady since I thought that was what the girl on the cover looked like. (The cover is nice, by the way.) But at the first part, I saw it was about someone older.

#Reviews: Books for Children and Teens that I’ve Read

I often read books in the genre that I hope to tackle next. It pays to study a lot of books and see the various ways it is presented to a reader.

As I often say whenever I do book reviews, please know that my comments written below are based on my own reading preferences which may or may not be the same as yours.

Ratings below coincide with the Goodreads rating standards.

Book Review: Boy’s Life by Robert R. McCammon

I bought this because I was intrigued by the back flap’s promise of a very good tale.

This coming-of-age tale is so beautifully written. If I would fall in love with a book, I’d definitely choose this one. This is the first book of the author that I’ve read and I should say that I’m hooked. I bought the book at a book sale, and fell in love with it from the first page to the last.

The Seven Deadly Sins Tag

ImaVee of the Blah Blah Notebook tagged me for The Seven Deadly Sins Tag. When I learned about it, I thought, Hmmm… Interesting.

Now, on to the Q’s and A’s…

Versatile Blogger Award: Delighted to Receive it!

This Versatile Blogger Award is really way overdue. I received this on the same month a few years back, but have never published this post because the initial piece that I’ve written for this award was saved at my other USB and it got lost. I guess the delay served a purpose though because I’ve discovered a lot of new blogs since then which, I think, deserve this award.

Book #Review: Captives – A Must-Read

Captives’ is the first book of The Safe Lands series. The tale opens with a Prologue, where one is given a glimpse of the “Safe Lands”. I felt like I was looking through a character’s eyes—which, I must say, is a good thing for a reader to experience—as the character moved from one place to another, and I was given a good idea of the surroundings.
